Job Overview

Travel RN position in Kansas City, Missouri
Specialty area: Med Surg
Weekly hours: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Details

23-bed unit
Typical patient ratio: 1:4 to 1:5
Unit has a secretary and PCT support
Uses traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
Schedules are 3 12-hour shifts per week, with 3 weekend shifts per schedule period
Floating may be required to other MedSurg-level units
Patient care expectations include bedside shift report and hourly rounding

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
BLS
Med Surg (1 year of experience)
Med Surg experience within the last year
Ortho Trauma experience

Preferred / Helpful Experience

Orthopedic experience
Telemetry experience
NIH experience

Clinical Focus

Post-op knee, hip, and shoulder replacements
Trauma patients
Some neuro overflow

Additional Notes

Navy scrubs required
