Clinical Requirements
- Must pass a Sim Lab on day 1 of orientation
- COVID-19 vaccination required, or declination form with appropriate documentation and hospital approval
Unit Details
- Level II Special Care Nursery
- 12 licensed neonatal beds
- Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 3:1, with 2:1 depending on acuity
- Cares for babies 32 weeks and above
- Common patient needs include CPAP, high flow, feeder-growers, sepsis, and hyperbilirubinemia
Scheduling
- Self-scheduling
- 3 weekend shifts per month
- 1 major and 1 minor holiday during the assignment
Additional Notes
- No call requirement
- Floating required to a sister NICU facility
- Navy blue scrubs required
- 2 orientation shifts
