Dietitian Job Summary

Overview

• Full-time, temporary registered dietitian role
• Setting includes long-term care and inpatient care
• Day shift, 8 hours per day
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid LPN / LVN license in Michigan
• LPN / LVN (1 year of experience)
• LPN / LVN experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition
• Long Term Care experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients at nutritional risk
• Implement evidence-based nutrition interventions
• Evaluate need for specialized nutrition support and make recommendations
• Document nutrition assessments in the medical record
• Reassess nutrition care plans and update as needed
• Develop and direct nutrition and hydration plans of care for residents
• Evaluate residents for weight changes, admissions, wounds, care conferences, meal rounding, menu evaluation, and survey readiness
• Participate in quality improvement projects
