Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech

Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 20 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide care to patients in General Nuclear Medicine (NM) and/or PET/CT using Siemens cameras (Symbia, Intevo SPECT/CT, Biograph MCT Flow PET/CT).
  • Support clinical research, imaging protocols, and specialized nuclear medicine workflows in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment with a primary focus on research.
  • Collaborate with teams to perform research imaging procedures and assist with radiopharmaceutical therapies.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation; create documentation to assist other NM techs with research procedures.
  • Perform standard-of-care exams as needed.
  • Call required once every 9 weeks.
  • Day shift hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week), with possible slight shifts due to scheduled patients.
  • Strong Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)/PET skills and exposure to research environments required.
  • Emphasis on good communication skills, attention to detail, and patient-centered care.
  • Local travelers within 75 miles are not accepted.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Kentucky.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Exposure to research environments.
