Cardiovascular Sonographer

Location

Denver, Colorado

Schedule

Day shift
10 hours per day
40 hours per week
Monday through Saturday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Days vary
On-call one week every 4–5 weeks

Required Qualifications

Echo Technologist with 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
High school diploma or equivalent
ARRT (S) or ARDMS
BLS issued by the American Heart Association
Contrast Administration Competency
Protocol selection and exam prioritization

Key Responsibilities

Perform ultrasound procedures to evaluate internal organs and vessels for diagnosis
Prepare exam rooms and patients for procedures
Obtain informed consent and relevant clinical history
Review patient history and select appropriate protocols
Explain the exam and position patients
Assess patient status and perform needed diagnostic techniques and interventions
Review completed tests for quality and completeness
Ensure quality images and prepare documentation for physician partners
Document and communicate patient information accurately
Coordinate care with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team
Ensure safe handoff between shifts
Monitor equipment reliability and safety
Order and stock supplies, clean rooms and equipment
Transport patients as needed
Participate in quality initiatives
