Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Columbus, Ohio
- 13-week assignment
- 3x12 schedule, 36 hours per week
- Rotating days and nights
- Estimated patient ratio: 1:1–2
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Proficiency in IV start
- Experience with telemetry
- Competency with ventilators
- Specialized experience in multisystem organ failure
- Specialized experience in respiratory failure
- Specialized experience in COVID
- Specialized experience in sepsis
- Specialized experience in post-cardiac arrest care
- Specialized experience in diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)
- Specialized experience in liver failure
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing experience
- EPIC documentation system proficiency
Clinical Experience
- Multisystem organ failure
- Respiratory failure

- Post-cardiac arrest care

Unit Details
- Continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemia
- Externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients

- Boom lift in each patient room
