Job info

May perform tests in all areas of the Clinical Laboratory, including Blood bank, Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and limited Microbiology
In Blood Bank, must be capable of resolving antibody problems, ABO discrepancies, preparing components, selecting appropriate blood for transfusion, and identifying and working up transfusion reactions
Responsible for calibrating and maintaining Clinical Laboratory instruments, troubleshooting instruments and/or methods, record keeping, quality control surveillance, problem resolution, specimen processing, and clerical functions
Must be capable of performing efficiently under pressure and completing selected tests in a STAT time frame
