ICU RN Travel Contract

Location

• Beaufort, South Carolina

Schedule

• Night shift
• 4x12 hours
• 48 hours per week
• Every Wednesday orientation
• Every other weekend required

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Unit Details

• Stepdown role that frequently floats to ICU and MedSurg
• Floating is required across Stepdown, ICU, and MedSurg
• 21 beds
• Patient ratios:

  • Stepdown: 1:4-5
  • ICU: 1:2
  • MedSurg: 1:5-6

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Critical Care Float (2 years of experience)
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
• Med Surg experience
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS

Clinical Experience / Patient Population

• Non-titrating drips
• Amiodarone, NTG, Cardizem, Lopressor, and Cardene
• Vascular cases including fem-pop and CEA
• NSTEMI
• Post-cardiac cath with intervention
• CIWA receiving IVP Ativan
• Peritoneal dialysis
• Stable BiPAP
• Heated high flow under 80%
• Home ventilators
• Wound care
• Nebulizers
• Hemodialysis in the dialysis department

Additional Notes

• Travel experience is preferred
• Scrubs: royal blue and white
• EMR: Meditech
