Registered Nurse – PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
Location: Charleston, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:30 PM – 8:00 AM), Monday through Friday
- Weekend Requirement: No weekends required
- On-call: No
- Floating: Yes, floating within scope to meet facility needs
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks (can be broken down to equal one shift)
- Unit Description:
- PACU with 15 recovery bays divided into PACU A (primary) and PACU B (secondary)
- Care for diverse adult inpatient and outpatient population
- Collaboration with Holding unit, ORs, surgical providers, anesthesia, and Main PACU partners
- Unit open Monday through Friday, closed on major holidays
- Magnet designated and Joint Commission accredited
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
