Workweek: 36-40 hours/week (overtime billable after 40 hours)
Holiday Requirement: Must work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
Scrubs: Grey, solids
EMR System: EPIC
Overtime/Holiday Pay: 1.15x multiplier
Call Back Pay: 1.5x multiplier with 2-hour minimum
On Call Pay: $9/hr
Charge/Precept Pay: $6/hr

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Iowa
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Competency) certification
Experience with drip/titrate medications including cardiac drips, insulin, heparin, and all types of critical care/emergency medicine drips
Valid driver’s license

Additional Information

No local candidates within 90 miles of the facility will be considered
First-time travelers are welcomed
Employee separation policy restricts past employees of the health system from working travel contracts in other markets within 12 months, with some exceptions

This position requires strong emergency nursing skills, critical care drip management, and telemetry experience, with a commitment to holiday shifts and night work.
