Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (Day: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM / Night: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Patient Ratio: 1:5
Unit Type: Medical-Surgical / Telemetry
Float Requirement: Must float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend, 6 weekend shifts total

Required Skills

Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing
Cardiac telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias
Feeding tube care and management
IV therapy including PICC line and peripheral line management, IV starts
Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with:
- Minimum overall score of 80%
- 100% score on lethal rhythms section

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in District of Columbia
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation
Skilled in IV therapy, including PICC line and peripheral line management

Additional Requirements

Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years
Complete 7 years of work history with no gaps, including education and license information
Completion of facility-specific modules (SITELS) prior to start date
Annual competency exams including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency
Must provide clear photo for badge
Must be available for holiday coverage
Must comply with facility policies including parking fees
