Operating Room Nurse

Job Overview

Location: New Brunswick, New Jersey
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Weekly hours: 36
Contract length: 13 weeks
Scheduling: 3x12s or 4x10s; no block scheduling
Call: 8–12 hours per month
Setting: Main OR at a Level 1 Trauma Center
Local candidates: Accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Jersey
OR - Operating Room (3 years of experience)
OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

CNOR
Travel experience
Experience with ortho trauma and spine
Experience with neuro/craniotomy for tumor cases
Experience with robotic surgery
Experience with bariatric cases
Experience with laparoscopic and open abdominal cases
Strong trauma skills

Key Clinical Experience

Ortho trauma and spine
Neuro/craniotomy for tumor
Robotic surgery
Bariatric surgery
Laparoscopic and open benign and oncologic GYN and general surgery cases
Trauma cases

Additional Notes

EPIC charting system
Government-issued photo ID required
