RN Oncology Infusion Clinic

Overview

  • Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week

Role Summary

Provides nursing care for adult oncology infusion clinic patients, including chemotherapy administration, medication management, IV infusions and blood products, patient education, phone triage, follow-up coordination, and assistance with procedures as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oklahoma
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration
  • Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
  • Chemotherapy Certification
  • 1 year of infusion experience
  • Infusion experience within the last year
  • Oncology experience

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a Board Approved Program

Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
  • Some computer skills
