Peds/Neo Respiratory Therapist

Location

Morgantown, West Virginia

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

12-hour nights
36 hours per week
Weekend requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
Holidays: possibly

Setting / Unit

Department: RT
Covers NICU or PICU
Patients: peds and neonates
Treatments per day: 20–25

Required Qualifications

RRT
BLS (AHA)
ACLS (AHA)
PALS (AHA)
NRP
2 or more years of experience working in PICU and/or level 4 or greater NICU

Preferred Qualifications

CRT is not preferred; RRT is preferred

Responsibilities

All aspects of respiratory care
Aerogen, Volara, cough assist, IPV, NAVA, Hamilton and Servo ventilators, airway management, and intrahospital transport
Assist only for intubation

Additional Details

Preference scheduling is permitted
RT will not be the only RT in house
Preferred staffing is 8 RTs per shift
No call or standby call requirement
Floating: no
Scrub color: stone/light gray
Hospitalist or intensivist in house
Department-specific orientation provided; timeframe depends on previous experience
