Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab

Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day
Contract length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide routine and complex nursing care independently in a cardiac catheterization lab setting.
Utilize nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Manage psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers based on assessed learning needs.
Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers.
Demonstrate leadership consistent with professional nursing competencies.

Required Qualifications

Education

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Experience

Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
Electrophysiology Lab experience

Licenses and Certifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Work Environment

Clinical setting focused on cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures
