Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment on a surgical overflow unit, requiring MO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of experience.

Details

Surgical overflow unit covering general surgery, orthopedic, and telemetry patients
Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
Cardiac monitoring with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Utilizes Rapid Response and Code teams for emergency response
Performs IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care/management
Administers respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and oxygen tanks
Requires non-invasive airway management
Charting system experience required

Requirements

Active MO or compact RN license required
Current BLS and NIHSS certifications through the American Heart Association required (NIHSS may be pending but must be completed to remain compliant)
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
Nursing degree required
Experience with isolation precautions and PPE required

Additional Information

Provide nursing care for surgical overflow patients across general surgery, orthopedic, and telemetry populations
Respond to emergencies using cardiac monitoring and rapid response/code team protocols
First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
