Description
Start Date: June 15, 2026
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule, self-scheduling
Highlights:
- Work in a 379-bed Short Term Acute Care facility with Level II Trauma Center designation
- Patient ratios: 1:4 days and nights, 1:5 weekends in a 29-bed specialized unit
- Comprehensive Stroke Center with dedicated 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit for continuous EEG monitoring
- Advanced neurosurgical and neurological patient care including craniotomy, spinal cord injury, CVA, and post-TPA management
- EPIC charting system with 12 hours of orientation provided
- Strong interdisciplinary team support including IV teams, PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
Requirements:
- Current RN license with compact state licensure required at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience required
- BLS certification current and valid
- Experience with telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and neurology stepdown preferred
- Level II Trauma Center and community hospital experience preferred
- Competency with remote telemetry monitoring, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
- Experience with neurosurgical patients, CVA, craniotomy, seizure disorders, and spinal cord injury
- First-time travelers accepted
- Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
