Medical-Surgical Oncology RN - Columbus, OhioJob Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Oncology – Ohio

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on department needs. Weekend shifts vary based on unit requirements.

Highlights:

• Mixed acuity unit with approximately 24 PCU beds and 24 Medical-Surgical Telemetry beds caring for medical oncology patients
• High acuity patient population with a variety of diagnoses from solid tumors to blood cancers
• Oncology experience preferred but not required; optional 2-day chemotherapy training course available for professional development
• Target staffing ratios of 1:4-5 for Medical-Surgical Telemetry patients (may vary based on unit needs)
• Epic EMR charting system with GE telemetry monitoring
• 72-hour orientation provided with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of current inpatient nursing experience required (acute care experience must be current and consistent within the last 12 months)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience required; PCU experience not required
• Previous travel experience preferred
• Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing
