Description
Surgical Technician – 13-Week Contract
Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Surgical Technician for a 13-week contract. The Surgical Technician will prepare and maintain the operating room, assist the surgical team during procedures, maintain sterile technique, and ensure instruments, equipment, and supplies are ready for each case.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field and OR.
- Set up instruments, equipment, and surgical supplies.
- Assist the surgeon during procedures.
- Perform sponge, sharps, and instrument counts.
- Assist with gowning, gloving, positioning, and patient transfers.
- Turn over and restock rooms between cases.
- Maintain sterilizer records and monitor supply expiration dates.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- 1+ year of Surgical Technician experience preferred.
- CST certification preferred.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
