<h3>Assignment Overview</h3><ul><li>Shift: Days, 4x10hrs</li><li>Hours: 40 hrs/wk</li><li>Start Date: Oct 12, 2026</li><li>Length: 16 weeks</li><li>Openings: 1</li></ul><h3>Description</h3><p>American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience and RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV certification for a diagnostic cardiac cath lab.</p><h3>Details</h3><ul><li>Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab setting with 3 rooms and 5 beds</li><li>Adult to geriatric patient population</li><li>Average daily census of 8-10 patients</li><li>Procedures include diagnostic cath, PCI, orbital atherectomy, IABP, Impella, and device implants (no EP studies or ablations)</li><li>Uses GE Discovery, IABP, Impella, and CSI equipment</li><li>Epic required for charting, Pyxis and SBAR used, Merge preferred</li><li>4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM</li><li>Every other weekend required unless otherwise specified</li><li>May float within department and facility, including to sister campus</li><li>Call requirements of 12-15 days per month plus 2 weekends (Sat/Sun) with late stay as needed</li></ul><h3>Requirements</h3><ul><li>Minimum 2 years of experience scrubbing heart caths and devices required</li><li>BLS and ACLS required</li><li>RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV certification required</li><li>Pacemaker experience preferred</li><li>Experience with EKG settings, obtaining vitals, and rhythm interpretation including sinus node rhythms required</li><li>Epic experience required</li><li>Previous travel experience required</li><li>License required if applicable</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Responsibilities include accurate monitoring, EKG lead placement, room circulating, and maintaining sterile field while scrubbing</li><li>Preferred skills include angioplasty, stent placement, hemodynamic monitoring, and central venous access</li><li>Scrubs provided by facility</li><li>Maximum 7 days RTO per contract, must be finalized at time of submission</li><li>No RTO can be requested during orientation week</li><li>Holiday coverage required as follows: 1-2 major holidays in assignment period must be worked, if 3 major holidays occur travelers work 2 of them</li><li>Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, and New Year's Eve/Day</li><li>Local candidates accepted at the same rate</li><li>First-time travelers not accepted for this position</li><li>Returning employees or travelers must be away from all facilities within the health system for one full year before reapplying as a traveler</li></ul>
