RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• One weekend per month call requirement, approximately 7 days per month
• Provide routine and complex nursing care in the operating room setting
• Practice independently and demonstrate awareness of all relevant clinical aspects
• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols
• Monitor for side-effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• RN License in state of Texas or compact required
