RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
• 13-week assignment with ASAP start date
• Patient ratio of 6:1 on 26-bed medical surgical unit
• Required to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• May float to Surgical or Acute Rehab units as needed
• Must have RN license with BSN preferred
• BLS certification required
• Prefer some medical/surgical experience
• Work with equipment including Hoyer lifts, rolling computers, and rolling vital sign machines
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Advanced skills needed include NG/NJ tubes, chest tubes, and heparin drip management
• Handle post-procedural care for patients returning from cardiac catheterization lab
• Must demonstrate proficiency in medication administration and controlled substance knowledge
• Knowledge of normal limits for vital signs and laboratory values required
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs (tops and bottoms)
