RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Tele Neuro

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 4 total weekend shifts required per 4 weeks
• Holiday schedule based on unit coverage and worked into permanent holiday rotation
• Must have Level 1 trauma experience
• 2 years of nursing experience required, neuro experience preferred
• Required certifications: NIHSS, BLS, ACLS
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass/fail exam on day 1 of orientation
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (pass/fail)
• Must maintain 1:4 patient ratio
• Float to cardiac tele, tele overflow in ICU, and med-surg units
• Must be able to interpret EKG and work with central monitoring
• Manage patients with tracheostomies, CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, ESRD, psychiatric issues, and brain tumors
• Administer and titrate medications including Heparin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
• Work in fast-paced, high turnover unit with average length of stay 4-5 days
• Must have own vehicle for travel
• Dress code requires steel gray scrubs, natural hair color, no facial piercings
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
