RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Must work 3 of 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period
• Holiday coverage required based on unit rotation
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4 depending on acuity
• Must have Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Must pass fail exam on day 1 of orientation
• Complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (pass/fail)
• Navy scrubs required
• Must have natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing
• Must have own vehicle for transportation
• 3-day floor-specific orientation provided
• Float to other telemetry units including T5, T6, and Neuro Tele
• Use Cerner EMR system and Philips monitors
• Must interpret EKGs independently
• Care for cardiac stepdown patients, lung transplant patients, chest pain, MI, pre-transplant, esophagectomy, ER overflow, and detox patients
• Handle non-titrating drips and work with CPAP and high flow equipment
• Cancellation policy allows up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
