Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with 3:1 patient ratios
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 3 twelve-hour shifts
• Weekend requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday for nights)
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must have been at the bedside within the last 6 months
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
• Navy scrubs required
• Float to lower acuity floors as needed
• 24-hour orientation provided
• EPIC charting system experience preferred
• Care for adult patients on high acuity step-down unit
• Manage titration of vasopressors, sedation medications, insulin drips
• Work with trach vents, arterial lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes
• Handle post-cardiac procedures, trauma patients, and neurological conditions
• Provide care for ventilated patients and manage various monitoring equipment
• Work with BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and specialized equipment
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
