Opportunity:

RN - EP Lab

Job Details:

• Work 3 12-hour shifts per week from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM (11.5 hours with 30-minute lunch)
• No rotating shifts, weekends, or call requirements
• 8-week contract assignment starting as soon as possible
• Work in mixed procedural unit supporting Cardiac Cath, Electrophysiology (EP), and Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Maintain 1:4 patient ratio during day shifts
• Floating required to Cath Prep/Recovery areas
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care for adult patients with arrhythmias
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with previous charge experience preferred
• EPIC documentation experience required
• Must be competent in medication administration including antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation
• Perform IV therapy including blood product administration, PICC line care, and implanted port maintenance
• Clinical skills include cardioversion, dysrhythmia interpretation, 12-lead EKG, sheath removal, and vascular closure systems
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• 11.5 hours of orientation provided
• Scrubs provided by facility
• First-time travelers accepted

This healthcare facility features a mixed procedural unit with 2 rooms and 12 beds, serving an average daily census of 7 patients. The facility utilizes EPIC documentation system and Omnicell for medication management, with SBAR communication framework. Support services include interpretation services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The unit provides comprehensive cardiac care with provider coverage including NP/PA and cardiologist support, though not in-house 24/7.
