RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work night shifts on a 17-bed medical surgical telemetry unit with 1:4 patient ratio
• 13-week assignment with options for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required (block scheduling cannot be guaranteed)
• 40 hours of orientation provided
• Must adhere to facility float policy within scope of practice
• Epic charting system experience required
• BLS certification required, ACLS preferred but not required
• BSN preferred
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Must have experience with patient ratios up to 5 patients
• Virginia license required (can submit with pending license but must have in-hand Wednesday before start date)
• Nursys verification required for submittal
• References required
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Care for patients with diverse medical diagnoses including diabetes, sickle cell crisis, COPD exacerbations, ESRD with pulmonary hypertension, wounds, drains, and tubes
• Receive patients from Emergency Department, Medical ICU, clinics, outside hospitals, or nursing facilities
• Work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Up to 40 hours of requested time off may be approved (cannot approve Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day)
• Modules completed during orientation up to 16 hours non-billable
