RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM with liver call responsibilities
• Participate in other cases if no liver/transplant procedures scheduled
• Guaranteed 36 hours for 3x12 hour shifts or 40 hours for 8/10 hour shifts
• On-call requirement: 1 shift per week and 2 twelve-hour weekend shifts per month
• Must have strong liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant experience
• Must be proficient in MISONIX/CUSA equipment
• Required experience putting organs back in new patients, not just harvesting
• Minimum 2 years of direct liver/transplant OR RN experience required
• Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross ACLS, BLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• Float within scope to meet facility needs
• Scrub color: Ceil Blue
• Must be nicotine free - negative 10 panel + nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required
• Complete 40 hours of orientation including EKG and Pharm tests (2 attempts maximum)
• Must participate in teaching activities with students and new staff
• Complete time-sensitive modules averaging 6-15 hours pre-start and annually
• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Daily census of 55-60 patients in 18 operating rooms
• All RTO must be submitted at time of application
