RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:4-6 depending on census
• Every third weekend required
• Required to float between Progress West and St. Peters as needed
• Float required to MS and ICU (assigned non-ICU level/lower acute patients that align with skill level)
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Telemetry background and stroke care background required
• Experience with post cardiac catheterization patients required
• Step down experience or telemetry experience with stroke patients required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must be comfortable with adults and geriatrics
• Care for patients with total joint replacement, neuro spine, general surgery, wounds, diabetic conditions, and oral surgery
• Unit accepts first-time travelers
• Scrub color: light gray/silver

• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed
• No RTO allowed the first week of assignment
• Must complete compliance requirements by 3pm CST on Monday before start date
• Pre-start modules required and billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility features 110 staffed beds and specializes in comprehensive medical services including telemetry, stroke care, and post-cardiac catheterization care. The facility maintains a 31-bed telemetry unit with an average daily census of 29 patients, providing care for adults and geriatrics with various medical conditions including CHF, CVA, and COPD. The facility offers extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation services.
