Opportunity:
RN - ER
Job Details:
• Work in 19-bed emergency department seeing approximately 170 patients per day
• 1:4 patient ratio (unless caring for ICU or step-down patients)
• Scheduled 4 weeks at a time on shift rotation with every other weekend required
• Minimum 2 years ER experience required
• First-time travelers accepted in this department
• Required certifications: CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS (American Heart Association), TNCC, NIHSS
• Professional scrubs of any color required (no other facility logos permitted)
• Use Meditech charting system with WOWs provided for each RN
• Medication administration through Pyxis system
• IV pumps: Solaris equipment
• Orientation offered Mondays only including HR paperwork, badge issuance, respiratory fit testing, nursing education testing, and medication testing
• Clinical preceptor provided for unit orientation based on skill set
• Charge RN available without patient assignment
• Break nurses available without patient assignments
• Triage available 24/7
• See variety of patients from pediatric to vulnerable populations

This 172-bed Level II Trauma Center serves as the only trauma facility in Monterey County and many surrounding communities. The facility is a teaching hospital that has been recognized as "Best Hospital in Salinas Valley" by Salinas Valley Reader's Choice in 2022. The emergency department handles a wide variety of cases including high-acuity trauma such as motor vehicle accidents, penetrating wounds, and gunshot injuries, providing critical care services to the community.

I am an Adult Cardiac Sonographer and I have been traveling for almost 3 years now and pretty much all the time with ADEX Healthcare staffing. I always look around for all the options as most of travelers do, but end up with this company, because They don’t fail me! Good competitive rates and always attention. Vincent Poast is the guy you want to deal with no matter what is your experience in traveling and profession. He always explains all pros and cons of a contract. I feel like he is on my side compared to other recruiters. The most important part for me that he always answers my calls and texts no matter if it’s a weekend or after hours! Also, if he can’t help me directly, he would get a ADEX staff member who resolves an issue right the way. The whole team has been very helpful for almost 6 contracts now. Oh, and another very important thing for me that Vince never pushes to get into a contract and bothers like a lot of other recruiters that calling and texting day and night. He lets you decide what you really want !
