Opportunity:

CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Thursday night shifts from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM EST
• On-call, callback, and holiday coverage as needed per unit requirements
• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing
• Position patients accordingly, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping and properly document all necessary components within EPIC
• Ensure images are properly identified and sent to PACS system correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Must have completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Must maintain Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• NYS licensure required prior to starting position
• Two years of experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• BLS certification from American Heart Association only
• Injection certification preferred or must be willing to complete during orientation
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
• Siemens Scanner experience required (minimum 6 months)
• Epic experience highly desired (minimum 1 year)
