Opportunity:

CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Work Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM
• Available for holidays, on call, and callback shifts per unit needs
• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating scans
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort
• Insert IVs when necessary for testing
• Position patients accordingly, including lifting or moving patients with limited mobility using safe patient handling techniques
• Maintain accurate patient record keeping by documenting all necessary components within EPIC
• Ensure proper image identification and correct transmission to PACS system upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Completion of formal training in approved School of Radiologic Technology required
• Must maintain Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• New York State licensure required (must obtain prior to starting position)
• Two years of experience required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required
• Injection certification preferred (willing to complete during orientation)
• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
• 6 months of Siemens Scanner experience required
• 1 year of Epic experience highly desired
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Patient and compassionate disposition essential
• Must be a team player who can maintain a cohesive working environment
