RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on 6 West Neurosciences unit on the 6th floor of A Tower
• 36-bed unit with approximately 40 staff members
• Patient ratios: 5:1 or 6:1 stretch on day shift, 7:1 stretch on night shift
• Day shift staffing: 1 Charge nurse, 6 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Night shift staffing: 1 Charge nurse, 6 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Work every other weekend
• Float to other med surge floors as needed
• Work with standard medical surgical equipment
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Perform typical procedures including Foley insertion and IV starts
• Required certifications: ACLS and NIH
• Neuroscience experience preferred
• Outgoing and self-motivated personality preferred
• Navy blue scrubs required
• New staff reference book provided at start of contract
