RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on 5W Medicine unit with 36 beds and 50+ staff members
• Day shift staffed with 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 HUC, and 1-2 sitters
• Night shift staffed with 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 3 CNAs, 0.5 HUC, and 1-2 sitters
• Current ratios: Day RN 1:5/6, Night RN 1:6/7
• Required to sign up for 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Weekend shifts include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for night shift
• BLS certification required, CMSRN certification encouraged
• Medical telemetry experience required
• Leadership experience and charge nurse experience preferred
• BSN degree preferred
• Dress code requires navy blue top and bottom, white top with navy blue bottom, or all white scrubs
• Work with medical remote telemetry monitoring, Cerner Patient Observation (CPO), VC150s in every patient room
• Use workstation on wheels and Tap and Go computer/documentation access
• EMR system is Cerner
• Prepare patients for Endoscopy, IR, and OR procedures
• Float to Med-Surge units: 3W, 5W, K8 (sister units)
• Must be hard-working, compassionate, team-oriented, and enjoy fast-paced environment
