RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in 44-bed Progressive Care Unit (K7 floor, K Tower)
• Patient ratios: 4:1 at grid, 5:1 when stretched
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Day shift staffing grid: 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Night shift staffing grid: 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Neuro and trauma care experience required
• Floating to stepdown units and med-surg units as needed
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Perform typical procedures including neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tubes, PCA pumps, IV infusions, lumbar drains, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions
• Must be a team player with patient-focused attitude
• Total staff of 95 across all shifts
