RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in Progressive Care Unit with 44 beds and 95 staff members
• Patient ratios: 4:1 at grid, 5:1 when stretched
• Day shift grid includes 2 CNC/Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Night shift grid includes 2 CNC/Charge nurses, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 HUC
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Must have neuro and trauma care experience
• Work with equipment including IV pumps, Skylift, PCA pump, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Perform typical procedures including neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tube management, PCA pump operation, IV infusions, lumber drain care, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions
• Float to stepdown units and med-surg units as needed
• Work every other weekend
• Must be a team player with patient-focused approach
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
