RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement and holiday support
• Unit is a 10-bed ICU/PCU overflow with patient ratios of 2:1 ICU and 4-5:1 PCU
• Day shift staffing: 1 charge RN and 5 staff RNs; Night shift staffing: 1 charge RN and 5 staff RNs
• Floating to other units required as part of facility policy
• No on-call requirements
• Medical ICU experience in large facility required
• Must be comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Advanced skills needed include ventilator management, critical care pharmacology (IV sedation, paralytics, vasopressors), advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and central line management
• Assist providers with bedside procedures including chest tube insertion and intubations
• Must be a critical thinker, flexible, and work well with others
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Documentation system: Cerner
• Equipment includes lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, and IV pumps
• Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs
• Bedside shift report is mandatory in all hospital areas
• Relief charge nurses expected to perform nurse leader rounding
