RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in 4Heart, Cardiovascular Progressive Care (CVPC) unit
• Care for cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery patients including open heart surgery, thoracic lung surgery, and medical cardiology patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5 patients per RN
• Float to any stepdown unit (1:5 ratios), medical/surgical unit (1:6-7 ratios), or ER inpatient holding area (1:6)
• Minimum 6 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday day/night) per 6-week schedule period required
• No call responsibilities
• Must be flexible to work holidays
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Stepdown experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Prior cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery population experience preferred
• CVICU experience preferred
• Perform typical procedures including epidural management, chest tube management, tube feedings, IV glucommander, and cardiac drip management
• Work with equipment including Baxter IV pumps, CADD epidural pumps, and various lifts
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Dress code requires all navy, white tops/navy bottoms, or all white scrubs
• Must be team player who enjoys fast-paced environment and is flexible
