RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a progressive care unit with both step-down and medical-surgical patients
• Day shift: 1:3-4 patient ratio for step-down patients, 1:4-6 for medical-surgical patients
• Night shift: 1:3-4 patient ratio for step-down patients, 1:4-6 for medical-surgical patients
• Work with equipment including lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable ventilated patients, and tracheostomies
• Perform typical procedures including trach care, chest tube management, and wound dressing changes
• Required to work 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts in a 6-week period
• Float to other medical-surgical and progressive care units as needed
• Must have minimum 2 years nursing experience
• Must have experience working with tracheostomies
• Previous experience with Cerner EMR system preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs required
• Must demonstrate flexibility and high level of clinical competence

This healthcare facility features a 39-bed unit combining 23 step-down beds and 16 medical-surgical beds, providing comprehensive progressive care services. The facility utilizes Cerner electronic medical records and maintains appropriate staffing ratios to ensure quality patient care. The unit specializes in caring for patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and treatment, including those with complex respiratory needs and cardiac conditions.
