PICU RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Madison, Wisconsin
• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts: 7:00pm–7:30am
• Schedule includes Monday through Friday, every other weekend, and a holiday rotation

Unit / Setting

• 21-bed pediatric intensive care unit
• Provides family-centered care for critically ill or injured children
• Patient mix includes medical and surgical cases such as acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi-system organ failure, and ECMO
• Floating may be required to other units or locations based on staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting
• CV ICU or cardiac step-down experience
• Basic arrhythmia experience
• Must live at least 50 miles from the assigned primary work site location

Preferred Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing

• Telemetry testing is required before start
• Parking onsite requires a permit through UW Transportation
