Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with Siemens and hospital experience, including some pediatric cases and ARRT (R) (MR) certification.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient setting in the MRI department
- Shifts are Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 4:30 AM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
- Siemens MRI models used include Skyra, Vida, Aera, Sola, and Vida Fit
- Shift schedule primarily consists of 12-hour evening shifts starting at 3:00 PM and ending at 3:30 AM
- Works closely with MRI Manager or Chief Imaging Technologist
- Performs diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging for organs, systems, and blood flow studies
- Provides radiologists with images for comprehensive diagnostic reporting
- Trains and orients physicians, residents, and technologists in MRI protocols and safety
- Assists nursing staff with medication waste witnessing and documentation in Pyxis
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate except in areas subject to facility-specific radius rules
- Strong candidates preferred for this assignment
Requirements
- Current ARRT (R) (MR) certification required
- CPR certification via AHA required
- Experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
- Hospital MRI experience required, with at least some pediatric patient exposure
- Experience in facilities with 500+ bed count required
- License required if applicable
