Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Chest Pain Observation Progressive Care Unit position requiring a compact or NC RN license and NIH Stroke certification.

Responsibilities

• Work in a Chest Pain Observation unit within a hospital setting
• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) environment focused on cardiac patient observation
• 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• No floating or call requirements specified
• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing observation for chest pain and related cardiac conditions
• 50-mile radius rule applies; no local candidates will be accepted
• Required documents include a skills checklist, complete application, references, and copies of current certifications
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in Progressive Care/PCU or Telemetry
• Current certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), all through AHA or ARC
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• Professional reference requirements vary: 1 reference for most states, 2 for Florida and Missouri
