Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for evening shifts, requiring ARRT certification and the ability to independently scan trauma patients.

Responsibilities

• Work in a computed axial tomography (CT) unit in a large teaching hospital setting
• Evening 10-hour shifts with a rotating schedule including every other weekend
• Holiday coverage required for 2 out of 4 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
• Uses Philips CT equipment
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
• Patient population includes trauma cases, and independent trauma scanning is expected
• No block scheduling permitted
• Candidates must have reliable transportation, as public transit is not available in the area
• All season or snow tires are recommended for vehicle use between November and April
• Bi-weekly Monday orientations are provided
• No first-time travelers considered for this position

Requirements

• Current ARRT certification required
• Must apply for Vermont license at time of offer if applicable
• Ability to independently scan traumas required
• Experience starting peripheral IVs is mandatory
• Experience with Philips CT scanners is preferred
• Experience in a similarly sized teaching facility required
• Recent experience using EPIC EMR within the past 2 years is required
