Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Oncology/GYN Surgical unit, requiring at least 1 year of med/surg acute care experience and an active NY RN license.

Details

• 34-bed Medical Oncology/GYN Surgical inpatient unit with an adjacent 2-chair outpatient infusion room
• Patient population includes a wide variety of medical and surgical oncology cases, complex GYN surgeries, and med/surg overflow
• Approximately 6 outpatient infusions administered daily
• Proficiency required in managing central lines, various drains, dressing changes, Tenhoff catheters, and PleurX catheters
• Frequent administration of blood product transfusions
• Charting via Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted NY RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of med/surg acute care experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Oncology and/or chemotherapy experience preferred
• Two professional references from a manager or supervisor within the last year required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within the last 12 months required for consideration

• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local and subject to a different pay rate
