Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a MRI Technologist with inpatient hospital experience and Siemens MRI system proficiency for a 13-week travel assignment.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient MRI department within a large academic medical center (500+ bed facility)
- Siemens MRI systems in use, including Skyra, Vida, Aera, Sola, and Vida Fit models
- Epic EMR used in this facility
- Pediatric patients are part of the case mix, though peds experience is preferred but not required
- Schedule includes Tuesday/Wednesday 4:00 PM–4:30 AM and Saturday 8:00 AM–8:30 PM
- 13-week contract
- Performs diagnostic MRI of organs, organ systems, and blood flow studies to provide radiologists with images needed for comprehensive diagnostic reports
- Orients physicians, residents, staff, and student technologists in MRI objectives, applications, and safety protocols
- Assists nursing staff as needed, including documenting medication wasting in Pyxis
- Reports to the MRI Manager or Chief Imaging Technologist
- Local candidates are accepted at the same bill rate
Requirements
- ARRT (R)(MR) certification required
- Current BLS certification via AHA required
- Hands-on experience with Siemens MRI equipment required
- Inpatient hospital MRI experience required
- Experience at a comparable facility size (500+ bed count) required
- Active state license if applicable
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
