Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience and CO or Compact RN licensure.

Details

  • Regional destination CVICU serving critically ill adults, specializing in open-heart surgery, ventricular assist devices (VADs), heart and lung transplants, ECMO, aortic aneurysm repair, and vascular and thoracic surgeries
  • 17-bed CVICU unit
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios are acuity-based and range from 1:1, 1:2, to 2:1
  • Rotating day and night shifts (3x12-hour shifts), with day shifts running 7:00–19:30 and night shifts running 19:00–7:30
  • 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period
  • Floating within scope required to meet unit needs
  • No on-call requirements
  • Charting performed in Epic

Requirements

  • Active CO or Compact RN license required
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience required
  • Experience with vasoactive medications and advanced cardiopulmonary support modalities required

Additional Information

  • Multidisciplinary team environment with a focus on holistic care, education, and improving patient outcomes
  • Navy scrubs required
  • RTO is capped at 10 days maximum; RTO is not permitted during the following blackout periods: March 14–21, May 8–11, May 21–27, and June 28–July 9
