Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring advanced cardiac device experience including Impella, IABP, and ECMO, with night shift availability.

• Work setting is a hospital Cardiovascular ICU
• Night shift schedule working 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• Patient population includes complex cardiovascular cases requiring advanced hemodynamic support
• Proficiency required with specialized cardiac support devices: Impella, IABP (intra-aortic balloon pump), CRRT, ECMO, and post open-heart day 2 care
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — no other issuing bodies accepted
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Experience with Impella, balloon pump, and heart recovery required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, including monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary
• Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders
• Delegates tasks to support staff and coordinates with multidisciplinary team
• Interacts with patients and families to communicate care plans and hospital procedures during stay and at discharge
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility may return after a 6-month separation period; extensions are limited to one time (26 weeks total)
• Compliance onboarding (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be completed promptly — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
• BSN preferred but not required
