Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist in Denver, CO, with at least 1 year of CT experience and active ARRT (R) certification.
Details
- Position is in a Computed Tomography department at an acute care hospital in Denver, CO
- Uses Epic for charting
- Performs a wide range of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes, including contrast-enhanced studies
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
- Active BLS certification (AHA only) required
- Active ARRT (R) certification required
- ARRT (CT) certification preferred
- Fluoroscopy certification required for candidates practicing in the state of Colorado
- Active state license required if applicable
- Proficiency with sectional anatomy, anatomic terminology, and CT positioning
- Experience with CT imaging techniques, protocols, and contrast administration
- Familiarity with contrast injector operation and electronic imaging systems
- Ability to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations
- DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs CT exams per department protocol, reviews images for quality and accuracy, and ensures all necessary anatomical structures are captured
- Administers contrast media under radiologist or physician supervision per protocol and educates patients on contrast safety
- Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other care providers following procedures
- Maintains accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions or incidents
- May assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols, positioning, and equipment use
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
