Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist in Denver, CO, with at least 1 year of CT experience and active ARRT (R) certification.

Details

Position is in a Computed Tomography department at an acute care hospital in Denver, CO
Uses Epic for charting
Performs a wide range of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes, including contrast-enhanced studies

Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required
Active BLS certification (AHA only) required
Active ARRT (R) certification required
ARRT (CT) certification preferred
Fluoroscopy certification required for candidates practicing in the state of Colorado
Active state license required if applicable
Proficiency with sectional anatomy, anatomic terminology, and CT positioning
Experience with CT imaging techniques, protocols, and contrast administration
Familiarity with contrast injector operation and electronic imaging systems
Ability to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations
DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

Performs CT exams per department protocol, reviews images for quality and accuracy, and ensures all necessary anatomical structures are captured
Administers contrast media under radiologist or physician supervision per protocol and educates patients on contrast safety
Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other care providers following procedures
Maintains accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions or incidents
May assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols, positioning, and equipment use
Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
