Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position at a cardiac unit requiring a minimum of 2 years of cardiac nursing experience and night shift availability.
Details
- 28-bed inpatient cardiac unit with med/surg overflow in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes cardiac/telemetry vascular patients, post-CABG patients (2-3 days out), cath lab patients, and TAVR patients
- Experience with cardiac drips required, including amiodarone, insulin, nitroglycerin, cardizem, and heparin
- Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights; ratios may flex up based on staffing and unit needs
- Charting via Epic
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15), on various days of the week
- Weekend availability required per unit needs
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required within scope to med/surg units and potentially to sister facilities based on facility needs
Requirements
- Active CO or Compact RN license required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of cardiac nursing experience required
- Experience working in environments with flexible staffing ratios required
- Experience with cardiac drips and telemetry patient populations required
Additional Information
- Navy scrubs required
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be eligible for a local pay rate
