Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an acute care inpatient hospital position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and Epic EMR proficiency.
Details
- Acute care inpatient PT unit at a 426-bed MAGNET-designated hospital
- Caseload of approximately 10 patients per day, with an emphasis on orthopedic and stroke cases — no wound care required
- Facility is a Stroke Certified Center with a heavy orthopedic caseload
- Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts, 8:00–18:30
- Minimum of 2 weekends required per month
- Block scheduling availability is at manager discretion
- Charting done in Epic EMR
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state — refusal to float may result in assignment termination
- Free parking available on-site
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of acute care physical therapy experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active state PT license required (license required if applicable)
- Epic EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application — scheduling requests related to outside employment will not be considered
- Scheduling requests made after submission or offer may be denied; failure to honor outlined schedule could result in contract termination
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility should inquire about local pay rates
