Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an acute care inpatient hospital position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Details

  • Acute care inpatient PT unit at a 426-bed MAGNET-designated hospital
  • Caseload of approximately 10 patients per day, with an emphasis on orthopedic and stroke cases — no wound care required
  • Facility is a Stroke Certified Center with a heavy orthopedic caseload
  • Shift: 4x10-hour day shifts, 8:00–18:30
  • Minimum of 2 weekends required per month
  • Block scheduling availability is at manager discretion
  • Charting done in Epic EMR
  • Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state — refusal to float may result in assignment termination
  • Free parking available on-site

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of acute care physical therapy experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Active state PT license required (license required if applicable)
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting
  • SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application — scheduling requests related to outside employment will not be considered
  • Scheduling requests made after submission or offer may be denied; failure to honor outlined schedule could result in contract termination
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility should inquire about local pay rates
