Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU RN for a 13-week travel contract in Oklahoma City, requiring at least one year of CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting.

Details

• Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (Cardio PICU) in a hospital setting
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• Pediatric patient population with cardiovascular and complex health conditions
• CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting is required

Requirements

• Active OK RN license or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of CVICU nursing experience required
• CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Full date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, regulating IV infusions and blood products, and coordinating care with physicians and support staff
• Candidate communicates care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families and delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply; extensions are limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance — the facility does not allow start date adjustments for non-compliant travelers
